Hiking in the Dordogne

France is one of the best countries for walking.

There is a lot of variety in the landscape and the network of trails is extensive. Of course there are the “Grand Randonnées”, a network of walks all over France. But also locally around Monpazier, the local tourist office has set out shorter walks. Almost all are circular walks ranging from 5 to 40 km’s., using the most quiet roads and pathways. The routes are marked on special maps (available at the reception) and are signposted with yellow signs along the way.
